1. Information We Collect
Account information: your full name, email address, phone number, and password (stored as a one-way hash).
Profile information: agent agency name, bio, profile photo, and role (buyer, agent, verification officer, admin).
Identity verification data: Ghana Card or passport image, liveness selfie, and bank account details for payout setup.
2. How We Use Your Information
To create and manage your account, verify your identity, and display verified badges on your listings and profile.
To facilitate property transactions, escrow payments, inspections, and messaging between buyers and agents.
To detect and prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with Ghanaian legal and regulatory requirements.
3. Identity Verification Data
Ghana Card images and selfies are collected solely for identity verification. They are encrypted at rest and access is restricted to authorised verification officers and admins.
We do not sell or share your identity documents with third parties except where required by law or to complete a regulated transaction.
4. Property & Transaction Data
Property listings, geo-tagged photos (including GPS coordinates and timestamps), title documents, and inspection reports are stored to maintain a verifiable record of each listing.
Transaction records — including payment method, escrow status, and payout details — are retained for a minimum of 7 years for audit and dispute-resolution purposes.
5. Cookies & Analytics
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.
Anonymous analytics help us understand how the platform is used so we can improve it. No personally identifiable data is shared with analytics providers.
6. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We share data only with service providers that help us operate the platform — payment processors (Paystack), cloud storage, and email delivery. Each provider is bound by confidentiality obligations.
We may disclose information to Ghanaian authorities where required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users and the public.
7. Data Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to sensitive data is role-based and logged. We conduct regular security reviews.
Despite these measures, no system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs, we will notify affected users and the relevant authorities without undue delay.
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Identity and transaction records are retained for at least 7 years after account closure to meet regulatory and audit obligations.
You may request deletion of non-regulated data at any time. Regulated records will be retained for the minimum period required by law.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
You may download a copy of your data or withdraw consent for non-essential processing by contacting us. Verification of identity is required before we act on any request.
You can download a copy of your personal data and submit an access, correction, erasure or objection request from "Your Data Rights" in your account menu. We respond within 30 days. If you believe your data has been handled unlawfully, you may also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.
10. Children's Privacy
TrustPropGh is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. International Users
TrustPropGh is designed for the Ghanaian property market. If you access the platform from outside Ghana, your data is still processed in accordance with Ghanaian law and this Privacy Policy.
Our hosting, storage and payment providers operate servers outside Ghana, including in the United States and the European Union, so your data may be transferred and processed abroad. Where that happens we rely on providers bound by contractual data protection obligations, as required by the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
